The Imperial Sovereign Court of the Willamette Empire (ISCWE), a non-profit GLBT charitable & social organization, was originally established in September 1977, under the name of Imperial Court of the Willamette Empire. The Court was incorporated on the 16th of January 1979.

The Imperial Sovereign Court of the Willamette Empire is a non-profit organization that does fund raising for various charities through drag shows, community picnics, auctions, raffles, car washes and other socially based fund raisers. Charitable organizations have ranged from Salem Rainbow Youth, Capitol Pride, Autism Foundation, Matthew Shepard Foundation, Muscular Dystrophy, Willamette Humane Society, Meals on Wheels, YWCA Breast Cancer and various HIV/AIDS organizations.

There are at this time over 85 Courts, Baronies and Ducal organizations in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The majority of the court systems organizations are set around the British royal system with various titles.

Membership is open to anyone twenty-one (21) years of age or older, who reside in the six county area of Linn, Marion, Polk, Lincoln, Yamhill and Benton Counties.

The principal title holders of the Imperial Sovereign Court of the Willamette Empire are the Emperor and Empress who are elected by the community at large and the Imperial Crown Prince and Princess who are appointed by the Emperor and Empress. The other main title holders of the organization are the White Knight and Debutante and the Mr., Miss and Ms. Gay Salem. In addition many working, honorary and camp titles are given out within the guidelines and the discretion of the reigning Emperor and Empress.

Board of Directors meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm at the Southside Speakeasy (3529 Fairview Industrial Dr. SE, Salem, OR 97302)
